There are few greater sights in world football than Premier League games at Anfield. The Kop in full voice, the flags, scarves and banners, the anticipation, the atmosphere – and that’s before you even get to what happens on the pitch.
Even with the recent expansion, Anfield is still only the sixth biggest stadium in the Premier League, with a capacity of 54,074, behind major rivals like Manchester United and Manchester City, plus West Ham.
As such, Liverpool tickets are some of the most sought-after football tickets in the country – regardless of how Liverpool are doing in the Premier League. As it is so difficult to get tickets for Liverpool games, we thought it would be a good idea to offer this guide detailing the various options you have if you want to make it to Anfield Stadium.
So unless you are already on, I’m afraid that your chances of becoming one of the 27,000 Liverpool season ticket holders are incredibly slim.
One way to ensure you are at all Liverpool matches would be to become an LFC season ticket holder – but unfortunately this is much easier said than done. The waiting list for Liverpool season tickets has grown so long that they are no longer accepting new people to add their names to the list – as things stand, the estimated time spent on the waiting list is around 30 years!
If you’ve missed out on an LFC season ticket, the club have quite a complicated system when it comes to buying tickets for individual matches.
As with most clubs, your best bet is always to become a Member, for which you’ll pay an annual fee. A minimum of 10,000 tickets will be made available to members for every Liverpool home match. However, they have just two ‘ticket sales’ a year – one in July and one in November, so you need to be on the ball to pick those up.
Some Liverpool tickets are made available to holders of Fan Cards – although they stopped issuing new Fan Cards in 2008, so you will have to be a long-standing Fan Card holder to buy Liverpool tickets in this way.
Premier League matches tend to be the most popular, so your best bet might be to target a match in one of the cup competitions, which tend to attract fewer fans, and so more might become available. It is likely that you will still need to pay to be a member to stand any chance though, such is the demand.
The Lions’ tours provide a unique opportunity to see some of the world’s best rugby talent play together, creating an exhilarating blend of rivalry and camaraderie among the nations of the British Isles. This tradition has not only shaped rugby’s history but also contributed to the sport’s cultural heritage, with every tour adding to the legacy of epic contests, unforgettable moments and a fierce pride in wearing the iconic red jersey.
One way to get tickets for Liverpool is to purchase a hospitality package. Anfield Stadium is packed with different options when it comes to hospitality tickets, with various lounges, restaurants and bars to enjoy before kick off.
The Carlsberg Dugout is a particularly popular option, with a bar and street food available for 3 hours before kick off, and one hour after the game. Alternatively, the 1892 Lounge offers you the best seats in the stadium, as well as an incredible 3-course meal before the match. You may even get a visit from a former Liverpool player. Though if a visit from a Liverpool legend really piques your interest… the Code Lounge is the way to go. A Code Lounge hospitality package includes food and drink with pre-match entertainment, in addition to a Q&A with a Liverpool legend!
Obviously, hospitality tickets are not cheap Liverpool tickets, you pay a premium to get these benefits, but a hospitality package is a great way to ensure you get a seat in the stadium, and will give you a day to remember. A great option should you miss out on a Liverpool season ticket.
There is one other way to get Liverpool tickets. As an Official Match Breaks Supplier for Liverpool FC, we provide Liverpool Code Lounge hospitality ticket and hotel packages.
These exclusive packages will not only provide you with a hospitality package and match tickets for Liverpool Football Club, but also you’ll be provided with accommodation at one of our hand-picked hotels in Liverpool.
