So we want to make sure you do it right. In this blog we are going to be looking at how to make the most out of your stay in the Entertainment Capital of the World, while making sure you don’t miss a moment of Formula 1 action.

The Las Vegas Grand Prix

It was a bold move, sending American Football to these shores, but the organisers knew they needed to do something bold. Around 20 years ago, they were concerned that they had exhausted all of their revenue streams. They couldn’t extend the NFL season because the players needed a long recovery time, so creating new teams wasn’t really an option. Thus, they decided to take the NFL on tour.

In 2005, they decided to play a regular season NFL match outside of the US for the first time, when the Arizona Cardinals met the San Francisco 49ers in Mexico City. When they sold over 100,000 tickets, they knew they were on to something, and so the NFL International Series was created to take the game even further afield.

Fast forward to 2007 and Wembley Stadium hosted an NFL game for the first time, when the New York Giants faced the Miami Dolphins – for that fixture 40,000 tickets were sold in the first hour and a half after going on sale. The number of games in London, and the popularity of the sport has grown and grown from there. Twickenham and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium have also hosted fixtures, while the Jacksonville Jaguars have started to make an annual appearance in London.
