How to get Manchester City tickets

They’re one of the most expensive squads ever assembled, they’ve won every competition and they’ve dominated the English Premier League title for the best part of a decade…

It’s no wonder then that Manchester City season tickets and tickets for single games can be incredibly difficult to come by.

We’re going to run through all the different ways of buying Manchester City tickets in this blog, so that you can get yourself down to the Etihad Stadium and see the likes of Erling Haaland, Bernardo Silva and Kevin de Bruyne in the flesh.

There are a few different ways to get Manchester City tickets, so let’s look at each one…

Manchester City Season Tickets

If you are not already one of the 36,000 Manchester City season ticket holders, then I’m afraid this may not be an option for you.

There are a whopping 120,000 people on the official waiting list for MCFC season tickets, and as most fans will renew their tickets year-on-year, it’s very unlikely that you’ll get to the front of that queue any time soon.

Realistically, it’s nearly impossible to become a Man City season ticket holder.

Individual match day Manchester City tickets

Rather than getting on the Manchester City season ticket waiting list, you will have more chance of getting Manchester City tickets on a match-by-match basis. In order to buy tickets directly from the club, you will need to become an official member.

These are called Cityzens memberships, and they cost £35 for an adult or £20 for a junior. You do receive other benefits, rather than just the ability to purchase tickets, such as a membership pack and a small discount at the club shop.

Obviously the high profile matches, like games against Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Manchester United are much harder to come by, but you will have more chance for games against the lower profile sides.

The Lions’ tours provide a unique opportunity to see some of the world’s best rugby talent play together, creating an exhilarating blend of rivalry and camaraderie among the nations of the British Isles. This tradition has not only shaped rugby’s history but also contributed to the sport’s cultural heritage, with every tour adding to the legacy of epic contests, unforgettable moments and a fierce pride in wearing the iconic red jersey.

Hospitality Packages

There are a whole host of VIP packages available for Manchester City fans, and while they offer a great experience, they don’t come cheap.

There is a huge selection from the Platinum Box Experience to access to one of the City bars before the game. You can even have a meal in the players’ dressing room.

As we said though, these are premium experiences at premium prices. While they are a great way to secure your Manchester City ticket, they come at a cost.

When do tickets go on sale?

Manchester City tickets tend to go on sale around four weeks before the match. They are only available to Cityzens Matchday and Junior Members, so you will need to sign up for a membership and pay the fees before you are eligible to purchase tickets.

Again, it’s important to stress that the fixtures against the teams towards the top of the Premier League are likely to sell out very quickly.

Manchester City Match Breaks

There is another way to secure your tickets if you’ve missed out on an MCFC season ticket, though. We are able to offer official tickets and hotel packages that will not only guarantee your seat at Manchester City games, but also accommodation at one of our hand-picked hotels in Manchester.

You’ll be able to explore everything that Manchester has to offer, as well as watching some of the best players in Premier League history at the Etihad Stadium.

We take out all of the hassle for you – all you have to do is select which Manchester City matches you would like to attend and the hotel you’d like to stay in. We’ll do the rest – it’s the most stress-free way to watch Manchester City Football Club.
