In a nutshell…….
Here’s how your weekend will look!
The Hotel – Check in is usually from 3pm, but this can be different depending on the hotel you’ve chosen. If you arrive at your hotel before check in opens, you might not be able to check in straight away, but you’ll be able to store your bags so you can get your weekend started!
When it’s your turn to go home, you’ll need to check out usually by 12-noon (subject to change), and there’ll be somewhere to store your bags if you’re not leaving until later, so you can carry on enjoying your last day in Madrid.
The Match – You’ll need to pick your tickets up from your hotel reception; for weekend games, they’ll be there by 1pm on Saturday. For weekday games they’ll be there by 1pm on match day. About 1 week before the match we’ll send you an email letting you know the confirmed date and time of the match, and loads of other useful information about the stadium and what to expect on your sportsbreak.
The Tour – Your tickets for the Wanda Metropolitano stadium tour will be with your match tickets. Stadium tours don’t operate on match days for security reasons. It’s a self-guided tour so you can turn up when it suits you.
This bit is really important! The matches in Spain are played normally on Saturday or Sunday but some matches could be moved to Friday or Monday. Bear in mind that they can kick off as early as 12-midday, and as late as 10pm (local times). The match date and time won’t be confirmed until a week before the match, so we recommend you book Saturday and Sunday nights as a minimum.
This season some of the matches are scheduled to be played on Wednesday; they could move to Tuesday or Thursday.
You’ll need to make sure your travel arrangements cover all possibilities as we won’t be able to give you any money back to cover it if the match moves and it doesn’t fit.
