A Motorsports Experience Like No Other

F1 Belgian Grand Prix

It’s time to get up to speed and experience the unmatched Belgian Grand Prix! As one of the most-loved tracks in F1, Spa-Francorchamps mix of long straights and challenging fast corners allows each driver to push their cars to the edge of their capabilities!

It’s no surprise that the Belgian Grand Prix is a fan favourite. Although the track was built to originally being 14.9km long (can you imagine that?!), it was redeveloped in 1979 and has a circuit length of 7.004km. This may be half the length of the original 1921 circuit, but it’s still the longest circuit on the F1 calendar!

But that’s not the only thing that makes the Belgian Grand Prix so iconic. Typically, the Belgian weather can be unpredictable. Pair that alongside the large track and you can have rain pouring down at one side of the track, and a completely dry setting at the other. With the grip of the track depending on the weather, let the excitement begin! Let’s just hope they don’t slip and slide too much, though.

If that’s still not enough to make you want to experience the Belgian Grand Prix, then maybe the attractions that sit outside Spa-Francorchamps might! When staying in the capital, Brussels holds some of the most amazing attractions which will appeal to anyone - motorsport fanatic or not. Brussels is also home to some of the most beautiful buildings (and Instagram-worthy picture spots!) as well as a slice of Belgian history and culture.

If you’re looking to feed your tourism appetite, why not have a browse around Brussels Town Hall and the Museum of the City of Brussels? Located in the Grand Palace, a day of tourism wouldn’t be complete without learning about Brussels past and being a true tourist (don’t forget the camera!) The Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula, the Royal Palace of Brussels and the breathtaking 47-metre tall Congress Column are some of our top sight-seeing spots too!

If culture is more your thing, then Brussels is home to some of the top music and art museums in Europe. From the Musical Instrument Museum (drumroll!) to the Royal Museum of Fine Art. Each is unique in their own way. Lastly, if you’re looking to make the most of Brussels incredible views then we recommend taking a stroll around the Mont des Arts Gardens. The gardens truly are breathtaking.
